Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Munitions Handler to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Munitions Handler assists with warehousing and demilitarization duties involving stock movement, inventory, and disassembly of munitions within controlled environments.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. The role requires lifting, operating MHE, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• 0-1 year of general work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete AMC training within 90 days of hire
• Ability to operate forklift/fork truck
• Willing to work overtime and varying shifts
• Driver’s license and clean MVR
• Secret clearance eligibility with US citizenship

Responsibilities

• Warehousing and movement of ordnance into/out of storage facilities
• Inventory counting and reporting
• Destruction and demilitarization of ammunition components
• Operate automated systems in demilitarization processes
• Follow safety, environmental and regulatory procedures
• Operate MHE and transportation vehicles
• Record accountability and discrepancies
• Maintain clean, secure work areas and storage magazines
• Perform duties as assigned
