Job summary

Morrison-Maierle, a 100% employee-owned design firm, is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager in Billings, MT to lead municipal water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects. You will oversee planning, design, permitting, funding support, bidding, and construction administration while ensuring regulatory compliance and buildable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5+ years of progressive civil engineering design and construction experience.
• EIT required; PE license preferred or able to pursue after hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating projects and ensuring alignment with objectives.
• Prepare and lead client meetings and technical presentations.
• Lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Communicate with permitting/regulatory agencies, funders, utilities, and public stakeholders.
• Analyze water/wastewater facilities for compliance and propose improvements.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for municipal facilities.
• Manage full project lifecycle: scope, budget, schedule, risk, and change management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for integrated delivery.
• Lead bidding and construction-phase services, including reviews and field observations.
