Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Engineer in Nebraska to lead engineering and project management for land development projects. You will prepare planning/design documents, coordinate with teams, and meet client needs from conception to completion. Travel to job sites may be required.

The role involves coordinating with multiple Olsson teams, assisting with marketing, and potentially acting as project manager on smaller projects, while delivering high-quality design work and staying on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or landscape architecture.
• Six years of related civil engineering experience.
• Proficient in Civil 3D software; PE/LA licensure would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares planning and design documents in appropriate engineering discipline.
• Performs process design calculations, prepares cost estimates, and uses economic analyses.
• Assists with scope of work, schedule, budgets, and progress reports.
• Coordinates with Olsson teams; directs design tasks and maintains project records.
• Supports marketing/business development; may help write proposals.
• May serve as project manager on small projects.
• Independently performs assignments on complex projects.
• Supervises staff and coordinates junior team members.
