The role emphasizes plan reviews, regulatory coordination, and construction administration. A four-year civil engineering degree and relevant experience are required, with licensure pursued in MD or DE within a year.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in civil engineering is required.
• Minimum four years of related experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
• Professional engineering license in MD or DE preferred or achievable within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and permit municipal/public works projects (water, sewer, roadways, drainage).
• Assist municipalities with plan reviews and regulatory coordination.
• Prepare funding applications, reports, studies, and grants.
• Perform construction administration duties, including procurement, pay requisitions, and CO reviews.
• Attend municipal meetings and public hearings as needed.
• Coordinate permitting with local agencies.
• Perform other related duties to support municipal/public works projects.
