Job summary

MPI, a well-established general contractor in Lakeville, MN, seeks a Senior Project Manager with 7+ years of PM experience on K-12 projects. Lead project teams, monitor cost, schedule, quality and safety, and foster client relationships.

You will coordinate with design and field teams, review estimates, and manage subcontracts and change orders. A Construction Management or Engineering degree is preferred; Procore and Primavera P6 proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Project Management experience.
• Experience running K-12 projects.
• Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred.
• Supervisory and training experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; Primavera P6 and Procore preferred.
• Well organized and structured work habits.
• Strong focus on detail and quality.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and communicate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage project planning, resource allocation, cost control, scheduling, quality, contract and safety management.
• Coordinate with Project Lead on goals and maintain connections across the project.
• Oversee and direct the project team; review work and resolve issues.
• Create subcontracts and prepare purchase orders.
• Manage change orders from initiation through execution.
• Oversee job cost reports and provide monthly cost projections (WIP).
• Serve as primary client contact as determined with Project Lead.
• Direct overall management of the project(s) with the project team.
• Review estimates and contract documents; understand project specifics.
• Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and industry networks.
• Build relationships with clients and industry leaders to secure future work.
• Understand and interpret procedures, policies and business practices.
