Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager for municipal Water/Wastewater projects in Florida.

The role focuses on leading preconstruction efforts, coordinating between design and estimating teams, reviewing technical drawings and geotechnical data, and building strong owner/engineer relationships. Responsibilities include risk mitigation, GMP budgeting, schedule management in P6, and facilitating milestone meetings with clients and stakeholders to ensure seamless project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of municipal Water/Wastewater construction or design experience.
• Experience as a Project Manager on municipal Water/Wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

• Support proposal development, RFQs, and RFP responses.
• Lead coordination between engineering and estimating teams during design phase.
• Review drawings, geotechnical reports, and specifications for constructability.
• Identify and mitigate project risks early in the design process.
• Develop GMP budgets and bid packages.
• Maintain preconstruction schedules in P6 and align with operations.
• Lead milestone and stakeholder coordination meetings.
• Track preconstruction financials and costs.
