Job summary

The City of Indianapolis Marion County is seeking a general labor worker for the DPW Operations Maintenance Section. The role involves outdoor and indoor tasks, assisting with maintenance and repair activities across public works projects.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and be capable of manual tasks including lifting. A Indiana driver’s license is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Indiana Driver's License preferred.
• Ability to perform manual tasks and lift/carry objects over 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide general labor functions for City municipal work.
• Assist with asphalt patching, crack sealing, concrete work, playground equipment repair, grounds keeping and related duties.
• Assist with snow removal functions.
• Clean and wash equipment as needed.
• Operate small motorized equipment.
• Assist with daily care and maintenance of tools and supplies.
