Job summary

The City of Indianapolis and Marion County is seeking a skilled job-site leader to plan and coordinate material, equipment and crew resources on construction projects. The position involves outdoor work, safety gear, and potential overtime.

A valid Class A CDL Driver’s License is preferred, Class B license required. Must pass a pre-employment physical. The ability to lift and carry items weighting 25 pounds or more is required. May require basic computer operation skill. Operates a variety of light and heavy construction equipment, i.e. loaders, back holes, graders, dump trucks, asphalt paver, asphalt planer, and roller, etc. Directs supervision of staff.

Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to varying weather conditions. May be exposed to intermittent noise, dust, dirt, odors, solvents, heights and confined spaces. Use of safety equipment required, to include but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety vest, hard hats, and work boots. Will be required to work overtime.
