Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in good standing.
• 1+ year of municipal law experience with emphasis on litigation, CEQA, Brown Act, land use, and civil litigation.
• Proven track record representing public entities in complex matters.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel on municipal law, public entity defense, land use, code enforcement, and the Brown Act.
• Represent clients in municipal litigation before courts and agencies.
• Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, contracts, deeds, leases, and other documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, opinions, and briefs.
• Advise on CEQA compliance and environmental regulations.
• Attend client meetings, hearings, and related events.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant statutes and case law.
