Job summary

City of Conroe is seeking a Grant Accountant to handle professional accounting and financial reporting for the city’s grant programs and general operations. You will maintain grant records, reconcile ledgers, monitor budgets, prepare reports, and support audits in a deadline-driven environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting/finance and 1–3 years of public-sector experience, with strong Excel and ERP system proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred, municipal/governmental experience valued.
• Experience with ERP systems and spreadsheets required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grant financial records and reconcile accounts.
• Monitor grant budgets and expenditures; prepare financial reports.
