Job summary

The City of Georgetown, TX seeks an experienced grant accounting professional to oversee the life cycle of federal and local grants from application through closeout. You will provide technical guidance to staff and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Responsibilities include grant receivable and revenue reconciliations, quarterly SEFA reporting, journal entries, and coordinating Workday testing for AP/AR/Payroll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with governmental accounting coursework.
• Five years of full-time experience in government or grant accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting principles.
• Familiarity with IRS regulations and FLSA.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review grant applications, reporting requirements, reimbursements, and grant compliance.
• Prepare and present grant policy training to City staff.
• Coordinate and manage testing of new Workday functionality for AP, AR, and Payroll.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for SRFs review.
• Assist with annual external audit processes.
• Report on CIP accounts and maintain asset records.
