Job summary

The Township of Millburn is seeking a highly organized Finance Clerk to join the Finance Department in a full-time role, with primary focus on accounts payable and related financial processing. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will support daily accounting tasks and a broad range of finance functions.

Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, invoices, vouchers and vendor payments, assisting with payroll, benefits, reconciliations, deposits, budget

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll, municipal finance, or related HR functions preferred.
• Experience with New Jersey municipal finance procedures and financial software is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, invoices, vouchers and vendor payments.
• Assist with general accounting, payroll, employee benefits and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain financial recordkeeping, deposits, budget and audit support, and purchasing.
• Support HR-related functions and other financial/administrative duties as assigned.
