Job summary

The Village of Clemmons is seeking an Assistant Finance Officer to support the Finance Officer in financial administration, fund processing, and reporting. This role focuses on maintaining financial stability in compliance with municipal laws and procedures.

You will perform disbursement and accounting of revenues and expenditures, payroll processing, purchasing, fixed assets, and related fiscal operations under supervision and subject to independent audits of financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business finance, business administration or related field and at least two years professional experience in general accounting.
• Associate’s degree with major in accounting, business finance, or related field and at least five years professional experience in general accounting with two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Officer in financial administration and processing of funds and reporting.
• Perform disbursement and accounting of revenues and expenditures; payroll checks and related fiscal operations.
• Purchase, fixed assets management and related fiscal operations; ensure compliance with governing financial and accounting laws.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

Associate’s degree in accounting/finance with supervisory experience
