Job summary

GFL Environmental Services is seeking a Municipal Field Technician to support daily operations at customer sites in Byron Center, Michigan. The role involves loading/unloading tools, materials, and equipment, and participating in both scheduled and emergency projects as part of a field crew.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently.
• Flexibility to changes in work schedule and availability for on-call.

• Assist sewer cleaning, sewer inspection and trenchless sewer rehabilitation.
• Operate equipment in the field and at the shop including pressure washers, jetters, and pumps.
• Support projects such as confined space entry & traffic control.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Pay: $20/hrThe Municipal Field Technician is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at customer sites including but not limited to loading and unloading tools, raw materials,equipment, and supplies. Key Responsibilities

• Assist sewer cleaning, sewer inspection and trenchless sewer rehabilitation
• Operate various pieces of equipment in the field and at our shop including but not limited to; pressure washers, jetters, and pumps
• Support various projects such as confined space entry & traffic control
• Other duties as assigned

What the work environment looks like

• Working in a variety of weather conditions
• Performing physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, under direction of crew leads
• Overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
• Located in Byron Center, MI, no remote work available
• Full-time position with room for advancement
