Job summary

WSB and Associates is seeking a Director of Municipal Services to lead a growing Texas team on complex infrastructure projects. You will translate growth strategies into actionable plans, oversee budgets, and deliver high-quality client outcomes.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree, PE registration (or ability to obtain within six months), and 8+ years in municipal engineering, with a track record in building client relationships and leading multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE registration or ability to obtain within six months.
• 8+ years municipal engineering experience; municipal project leadership experience.
• Experience with City of Austin preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and develop strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team including mid-level and first-level leaders and staff.
• Scale regional, functional, and client operations.
• Translate growth strategy into team goals and annual plans.
• Secure resources and budget for the team.
• Manage high-level policies and foster a collaborative culture.
• Oversee financial performance of the Municipal group and revenue targets.
• Coach, develop, and mentor staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Lead workforce planning, hiring, and compensation administration.
• Oversee multi-discipline projects from proposal through closeout.
• Collaborate with municipal clients to deliver CIP programs on-site if needed.
• Establish and maintain relationships with municipal clients; ensure project requirements are met.
