Job summary

Ainley Group is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Belleville, Kingston, or Ottawa office. This role offers the opportunity to plan, design, and oversee municipal infrastructure projects within a collaborative and dynamic design team while interfacing with clients and project stakeholders.

The responsibilities include reports, preliminary and detailed designs, contract specifications, tender documents, and construction administration.

Qualifications

• P.Eng. licensed in Ontario with 7+ years of design office experience.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel and MS Project.
• Experience in planning, preliminary and detailed design, and construction administration.
• Skilled in cost estimating and specification writing.
• Proven ability to gain approvals from authorities and environmental agencies.
• Excellent oral and written communication; independent, organized, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports, designs, and oversee construction administration for municipal infrastructure.
• Prepare contract specifications, tender documents, and approvals applications.
• Review and issue finalized shop drawings.
• Coordinate and mentor junior staff within the department.
• Liaise with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and construction supervision staff.
• Assist with proposals for future projects.
