Job summary

The Town of Chapel Hill seeks a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee complex capital improvement projects—driving schedules, budgets, bids, and contractor coordination.   • Experience managing municipal/public capital improvement projects.
  • Understanding of grading, utilities, streets, stormwater, and building construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex capital improvement projects, schedules, bids, contracts, and meetings.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets; process change orders and invoices; manage grants as applicable.
  • Prepare and review contracts, plans, specifications, and documentation; report progress to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with designers, contractors, and Town departments; assess risks and provide solutions.
  • Provide technical design feedback; review drawings and bid documents for compliance.
  • Perform on-site monitoring, quality assurance, and supervise construction activities.
