Job summary

The Haskell Company in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead municipal projects from bid through close-out. You will manage estimates, schedules, budgets and client communications to ensure project success.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in engineering or construction management and at least seven years of construction management experience, including jail, courthouse, or education sector work. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management (or equivalent).
• Seven+ years in construction management with municipal projects (jails, courthouses, education).
• Experience estimating, cost control, scheduling, and bid/proposal processes.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel per project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist project directors with RFP responses, estimates, schedules and proposals.
• Monitor design progress, review constructability, and advise on scope and cost changes.
• Prepare detailed estimates, cost codes, and cost-control systems.
• Manage bid packages, subcontractor qualification, and value engineering.
• Plan project organization with superintendents and subcontractors; manage schedules.
• Oversee project cost reports, permits, submittals, and client communications.
• Handle payments, invoicing, and budget updates; drive cash flow.
