Job summary

RVE (an Ardurra company) is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Egg Harbor Twp, NJ Office to provide construction observation for municipal projects, including water supply and distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and treatment systems, storm sewer systems, and roadway construction.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 to 15 years of experience and may pursue NICET certifications; equivalent field inspection credentials are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pursue NICET Certifications is must.
• ACI-Concrete Field Testing.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Act as Resident Project Representative to assist Engineer and liaise with Contractor.
• Attend pre-construction and weekly job progress meetings.
• Conduct on-site observations to ensure work complies with contract documents.
• Maintain all records including daily quantities and a diary/log of activities.
• Provide daily reports to Engineer with labor trades and equipment from Contractor.
• Review payment applications with Contractor and advise Engineer on progress payments.
• Prepare final punch list and conduct project closeout review.
• Inspect worksites as part of a team and individually as needed.
