Job summary

RVE (an Ardurra company) is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team in Cherry Hill, Morganville and/or Secaucus NJ. The ideal candidate will provide construction observation for municipal projects including water, sewer, storm, and roadway work with 5–15 years of experience in construction management.

Responsibilities include coordinating contract administration, onsite supervision, leading pre-construction and progress meetings, maintaining records, and ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; NICET certification pursued is preferred.
• Experience with municipal, county, and state projects a plus.
• Knowledge of ACI field testing is desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract administration with design professionals and contractors.
• Provide onsite supervision of contractors for Client projects.
• Chair pre-construction and biweekly progress meetings and document minutes.
• Maintain project records and ensure proper responses to RFIs and submittals.
• Coordinate inspections with code officials and jurisdictions.
• Review payment applications with contractor and advise on progress payments.
• Communicate effectively with the project team and stakeholders.
• Provide QA inspections of work in progress.
• Review safety plans to protect occupants during construction.
• Assist with project closeout and turnover to client.
