Job summary

Responsibilities include asset evaluation, drafting plans and bid proposals, records management, and coordination with contractors and agencies.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant college-level coursework or an Associate’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• At least two years of progressively responsible experience in areas of specialization or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, designing, reviewing, and managing municipal infrastructure projects.
• Oversees assets such as roads, pathways, and stormwater systems.
• Maintains engineering records, including maps, permits, and inspection reports.
• Performs project drafting for plans, grant applications, meetings, and site studies.
• Assists in preparing bid proposals, contract specs, and engineer’s estimates.
