Job summary
Construction Association of Michigan seeks an experienced engineer to lead the Engineering Division within the Planning & Development Services Department. The role supervises inspectors, staff, and consultants, directing design, review, construction, permitting, and contract administration for township projects.
The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background, 5+ years in municipal/public works, and 2+ years of supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years in municipal/public works administration or engineering.
- 2+ years supervising staff preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering division activities and project design, review, and construction.
- Coordinate permits, inspections, and contracts with external agencies.
- Supervise inspectors and staff and consultants; ensure GIS mapping and recordkeeping.
- Assist director with infrastructure planning and administration of contracts.
