Qualifications

JD degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar in good standing.
2+ years as an attorney, preferably in municipal law.

Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel to municipal officials and departments on a broad range of municipal law matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents for the municipality.
Represent the municipality in court proceedings and before administrative tribunals.
Conduct legal research and prepare opinions on complex municipal law issues.
Advise on code enforcement and housing matters and develop compliance strategies.
Represent the municipality in public litigation, including civil rights, land use, environmental, and employment cases.
Develop and conduct legal training for municipal officials and employees.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to deliver high‑quality legal services.
