City-of-Pelha is seeking a part-time front desk assistant for the Senior Center. The role greets guests, answers calls, and provides information to visitors and members. You will help manage the activity calendar and assist with room setup for daily classes and programs, delivering friendly customer service and supporting city patrons.
The position requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication abilities to interact with diverse groups.
Responsible for a variety of duties and reports to the Senior Center Coordinator. The hours of the Senior Center are 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Candidate would typically work a 4 hour shift; however, hours may vary based on the needs of the facility. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Basic computer skills needed.
