Qualifications

• 4+ years of governmental accounting or 6+ years’ experience in public accounting required.
• Experience creating and using financial reports in a professional setting is crucial.
• Ability for limited overnight travel preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial staffing and related consulting support to municipalities.
• Assist clients with accounting and finance functions including bank reconciliations and annual audit prep.
• Draft financial reports and analyze financial information.

Skills

Understanding of GASB and government fund accounting

Technology skills with financial accounting systems

Project management skills

Proficient in Excel

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or related field

CPA or Master’s degree preferred
