Job summary

Andover Housing Authority in Andover, MA seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on buildings, grounds, and common dwelling equipment. Requires journeyman skill across trades and the ability to work with tenants and contractors.

The position is full-time, in-person, with a 40-hour week and an hourly rate of $38.77. Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical work, boiler room checks, groundskeeping, and on-call duties; OSHA 10 certification and valid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification on hire or within a year.
• Minimum five years of related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work with tenants and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs a range of building and grounds repairs.
• Repairs plumbing fixtures, electrical switches, and lighting.
• Maintains boiler rooms and mechanical equipment maintenance.
• Performs groundskeeping tasks and routine inspections.
• Participates in On Call and Snow & Ice programs.
