Job summary

Signature-Healthcare in Brockton, MA seeks a full-time Maintenance Assistant to perform basic plumbing, electrical and HVAC preventative maintenance. Evening shift (3-11p) with an 80-hour pay period; on-call rotation required).

Responsibilities include daily area walkthroughs to identify issues, cleaning up spills, prepping and painting designated areas, and assisting with grounds keeping and heavy item movement. A high school diploma and at least one year of maintenance experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year maintenance experience required.
• General knowledge of HVAC systems; plumbing and electrical highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing, electrical and minor HVAC preventative maintenance.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of all areas to identify potential problems.
• Clean up spills, accidents or other issues.
• Prepare and paint designated areas including patching walls and taping windows.
• Move or relocate large/heavy items, and assist with grounds keeping (snow removal, salting sidewalks).
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response.
• Other duties as required.

Basic plumbing, electrical and minor HVAC Preventative maintenance including a daily physical walk through all areas to seek out potential problems Clean up in the event of spills, accidents or other issues Preparation and painting of designated areas including patching and scraping walls and taping windows Removal or relocation of large/heavy items such as furniture or storage boxes Regular and seasonal grounds keeping including lawn, shrub, snow removal salting sidewalks etc Call rotation required Perform duties of Maintenance Assistant when necessary Assist in emergency situations Other duties as required High school diploma or equivalent One year Maintenance experience required Valid Massachusetts Drivers License General knowledge of HVAC systems plumbing and electrical highly desirable
