Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking an experienced Specialized Trades Worker to support OA-FMDC with building, equipment, maintenance and trades projects across state facilities. You will apply your diverse background across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and related tasks to meet project objectives and safety standards.

The role offers potential for long-term career growth, requires 3–5 years of on-the-job training in a trade, a valid Missouri driver license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds,

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of on-the-job training in a trade area.
• Experience operating and maintaining various equipment and tools.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver license from Missouri or from an adjacent state.
• OSHA 10 and/or 30 preferred, but FMDC can provide if needed.
• Excellent time management, organizational, planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize excellent service for wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, and the public.
• Completing skilled work within one or more specialized trade areas.
• Apply trade-specific knowledge to troubleshooting, repair and remediation tasks.
• Perform work relating but not limited to electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); electronics; carpentry; concrete and masonry; welding; plumbing; and/or painting.
• Heavy lifting, manual labor, and operating machinery and heavy equipment per project needs.
• Answer emergency calls and occasionally travel to other facilities to provide coverage and assistance.
