Job summary

UW Health Riverfront YMCA and Camp Winnebago seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and pool systems. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and member service in a welcoming environment.

You will review work orders, inspect facilities, coordinate with vendors, and document work. Requires 5 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21.
• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Holding a valid driver's license in good standing is required.
• Motor vehicle records will be checked biennially.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC repair.
• Current Praesidium Academy training.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders in Helix Intel and prioritize preventive maintenance and urgent repairs.
• Inspect HVAC systems, lighting, doors, exits, and high-traffic areas to prevent service disruptions.
• Troubleshoot and repair carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Repair plumbing blockages, fixtures, piping, and related components.
• Inspect emergency lighting systems and safety equipment to ensure preparedness.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors and obtain estimates for projects.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory for planned and emergency repairs.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and vendor services.
• Communicate repair timelines and facility conditions to supervisors.
• Respond to after-hours maintenance issues as needed.
