Job summary

Valley Health Specialty Hospital is a per diem weekend day maintenance technician role, responsible for the upkeep of the physical plant, including buildings, grounds, equipment and utilities.

The position requires work across trades (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, locksmith, general building) with related certifications or two years of practical experience; a related Associate degree is preferred. Strong math, troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a certification course in a trade or two years practical experience in one or more trades (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, locksmith, general building, general equipment maintenance).
• Associates of Science Degree in related field preferred (HVAC, Central Station Equipment or other technical field).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant buildings, grounds, equipment and utilities.
• Perform specialty tasks (carpentry, painting) and work in other trades when trained and qualified.
• Identify problems and make recommendations for corrective action on mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
