Job summary

Knoxville's Community Development Corporation (KCDC) seeks a Maintenance Technician II to perform skilled maintenance and repair work on apartment buildings and fixtures. You will join a maintenance crew and handle carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related tasks to ensure safe, well-maintained living spaces.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing cabinets, doors, windows, flooring, and fixtures; maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems; and assisting staff and residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship programs or in-service training preferred.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related trades preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic work order systems and Outlook is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance and repairs in various mechanical and building trades.
• Install, repair and replace cabinets, baseboards, doors, windows, and fixtures.
• Maintains and inspects building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC components.
• Travel to Authority properties for routine upkeep and small projects as needed.
• Assist and train staff and residents in basic maintenance tasks.
