Arnot Health in the Southern Tier of New York is seeking a General Maintenance Mechanic to sustain building, grounds and the mechanical plant, ensuring a safe, efficient environment for patients, visitors and staff.

You will perform routine repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, sheet metal and painting, and assist higher classifications as needed. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds and work in all weather conditions.

Qualifikationen

• High School graduate or equivalent. Passes MECH Entry level test.
• Some maintenance experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Works across trades to complete tasks and meet departmental goals.
• Performs day-to-day routine repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment (vehicles, beds, laundry, furniture, etc.).
• Advises supervisors on status of work if interrupted or delayed and informs when work is completed.
• Installs and repairs Arnot Health systems in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and structure components.
• Maintains equipment such as vehicles, hand tools, power tools, ladders and instrumentation.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe; secures tools and equipment after shift.
• Trains in operation and maintenance of machinery in power plant and mechanical rooms.
• Responds to conditions indicating potential emergencies and alerts supervisor when needed.
• Prepares areas for painting and performs painting work as needed.
• Follows all policies and procedures and participates in mandatory education.
