Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a General Mechanic to perform a broad range of maintenance tasks across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, vinyl, and heating/cooling systems. The role includes preventative maintenance, record keeping for main systems, and safety checks.

Qualified candidates have two years of maintenance experience in large facilities, with a preference for EPA refrigeration certification; if not certified, certification must be obtained within 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• Two years general maintenance experience in a large institution.
• EPA refrigeration certification preferred; if not certified, must obtain within 6–12 months of employment.
• Able to read blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant requests for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and related services.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain records for main mechanical systems.
• Perform safety checks; order supplies and equipment as needed.
