Job summary

Walmart in Michigan is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair store facilities, equipment and fixtures, following established schedules and safety guidelines. You will work under the local General Maintenance Manager to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks while upholding Walmart's standards for a safe, clean environment.

The role offers full-time hours with benefits, a sign-on bonus in select locations, eligible bonuses, and ongoing training

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or related trade

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and hand/power tools
• Use work order system to receive reactive repair work orders and document activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment safely
