Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join its local team in Michigan. The role involves preventive and reactive maintenance of stores, equipment, and fixtures, under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager.

You will perform inspections, repairs, and safety checks to keep facilities in top condition. Key duties include using various craft skills, documenting work orders, and responding quickly to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass MVR report.
• Vocational/Technical certification with 1 year experience or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling, or related trade.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment and assets using multiple craft skills.
• Use work order system to receive and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and inspect facilities to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate tools safely.
