Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a General Maintenance professional to perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building trades in support of store operations. You will oversee contractors and ensure preventive maintenance aligns with corporate programs.

The role requires broad mechanical aptitude, the ability to supervise others, and a customer-friendly attitude while maintaining safe and reliable facilities. This position may involve outdoor work and variable weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School education or 1-2 year vocational training
• High mechanical ability required
• Must be willing to work with and oversee the work of others
• Verifiable experience in maintenance related fields

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical repair; lamp changing, light fixture repair/installation, diagnostic capability.
• Performs plumbing repair: pump and fixture installations/replacements/repair, drain cleaning, diagnostic capability.
• Maintains basic understanding of HVAC operation and maintenance procedures.
• Performs basic mechanical repair on tractors, forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Repairs the building; painting, wall repair, minor carpentry, floor repair, etc.
• Performs periodic building operation tune-ups for energy conservation and waste management.
• Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.
• Completes preventative and reparative maintenance including electric, mechanical, hydraulics, carpentry, and masonry tasks.
• Maintains emphasis on a variety of maintenance tasks rather than depth in one trade.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
