Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is seeking an experienced Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Therapist to join our team in Houston, TX. The role involves direct clinical treatment with families using MST principles, with travel and on-call weekend coverage required.

You will engage caregivers, conduct MST assessments, and implement treatment plans while coordinating care with community resources. A Master’s degree and TX driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical/counseling psychology, social work, or marriage and family is required.
• Licensed Master’s Social Work preferred.
• Two years of post-graduate clinical experience; at least one year with families.

Responsibilities

• Engage primary caregiver and key participants in MST treatment and address engagement barriers.
• Conduct MST assessments including referral review and participant engagement; analyze ecological context.
• Apply problem conceptualization, treatment planning, interventions, outcome review and strategy revision per MST analytics.
• Perform crisis assessments to determine needed level of care and safety; provide crisis counseling.
• Coordinate transfers to hospitals and outpatient services per treatment plan.
