Job summary

Garden State Athletic Network (GSAN) seeks a versatile Sports Broadcaster to provide play-by-play and color commentary for our live broadcasts across New Jersey venues. You will adapt to different sports, switching between play-by-play and analysis as production needs require.

Ideal candidates have on-air experience, strong sports knowledge, and the ability to work solo or in two-person booths. This Fall opening starts Oct 9, 2026, with opportunities across weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• On-air play-by-play or color experience at interscholastic or collegiate level (2–3 years).
• Deep knowledge of sport rules, strategy and terminology.
• Versatile ability to commentate across multiple sports.
• Excellent verbal communication and quick thinking in live broadcasts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compelling play-by-play or color commentary for live events.
• Research teams, rosters, and athletes before events to provide insightful analysis.
• Conduct professional on-air interviews with student-athletes and coaches.
• Coordinate with on-site production crews and producers for smooth transitions and cues.
