Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Multispecialty Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound across abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, breast, and MSK modalities in a high-volume setting.

You will review requests, select protocols, and produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The role requires ARDMS certification in two areas plus one additional certification within a year, along with BLS and an accredited program graduate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography Program.
• ARDMS certifications in two areas and one additional ARDMS certification within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties (abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, breast, MSK) per standards.
• Review imaging requests and patient history to determine protocols.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images with minimal patient exposure.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography Program

ARDMS certifications (2 areas) + 1 additional within 1 year
