Job summary

Optum NY, Bethpage, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant - Multispecialty to join our care delivery team. The role involves direct patient care, coordinating with physicians, and assisting with clinical procedures in a multispecialty setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence in direct patient care and assists MDs with procedures.
• Performs clinical duties per department standards and policies.
• Prepares e-prescriptions for processing to pharmacies when instructed by physician.
• Inspects and cleans instruments/equipment per manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Coordinates with care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
