Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of related experience in this field.
• Current CPR / BLS certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence in direct patient care and assists physicians with procedures.
• Works within department standards, policies and protocols.
• Directs and escorts patients to exam rooms in a timely manner.
• Assists physicians or mid-level providers during exams and office procedures.
• Prepares e-prescriptions for processing to pharmacies as instructed by the physician.
• Inspects, cleans and prepares instruments/equipment per manufacturers' guidelines.
• Processes specimens for transport to the laboratory with proper labeling.
