Qualifications

• Two+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take vitals.
• Interview and document chief complaint and medical history; update charts.
• Prepare patient charts in advance and verify benefits.
• Scan documents to patient charts and organize rooms.
• Refill medications and obtain pre-authorization as needed.
• Assist physicians in exam rooms with wound care or procedures.
• Follow up on calls and document conversations.
• Educate patients on DI, labs, referrals, and procedures.
• Schedule follow-up appointments after visits.
