CLS Health PLLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a multispecialty clinical team in Houston, TX. You will room patients, take vitals, update medical histories, and assist physicians with exam room procedures to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include chart preparation, benefits verification, document management, patient education, and scheduling follow-ups. Strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail are essential, along with proficiency

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and take vital signs; interview and update chief complaint and medical history.
• Prepare patient charts and verify benefits; scan documents to charts.
• Ensure rooms are stocked and clean; manage daily clinic setup and closures.
• Refill medications and obtain pre-authorization when needed.
• Assist physicians in exam rooms with wound care and procedures.
• Document calls and messages; educate patients on DI, labs, referrals, and procedures.
• Schedule follow-up appointments after visits; process orders when needed.
• Distribute faxes and travel to other CLS Health locations.
