Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care seeks a Medical Assistant to provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support in a busy clinic. Responsibilities include patient intake, vitals, immunizations, EKGs, and documentation in the electronic health record, all under supervision.

The role requires high school completion and a current BLS certificate; CMA certification and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred. Evening/weekend hours may be required to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; CMA certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect vitals and history.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Administer immunizations under supervision; provide patient education.
• Document in EHR and manage prescriptions/refills.
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations; assist with scheduling.
