Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support in a busy clinic setting. You will assist with vital signs, immunizations, injections, and routine procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include documentation in the electronic health record, patient education, and coordinating referrals. Flexibility to work varied hours may be required to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent is required. Copy must be provided upon hire.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS certification required; CMA certification preferred.
• Experience: Ability to work with a culturally diverse population; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare for care, taking vital signs and collecting medical history.
• Support examinations and procedures; ensure proper room setup and sterilization.
• Admin duties including front desk support, scheduling, and chart preparation.
• Document in electronic health records accurately and promptly.
