UC San Diego Health is seeking an Administrative Supervisor to lead clinic operations across seven locations, ensuring smooth scheduling, staffing, and patient access. The role partners with CMDs and senior leaders to drive operational excellence in ambulatory care.

In this strategic position, you will oversee registration, scheduling, insurance authorizations, and staff development, while maintaining compliance and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or related area or equivalent experience/training.
• Five+ years of healthcare operations experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of practice operations, patient-scheduling systems, medical and insurance terminology, information systems, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative, clinical support, and front-office teams.
• Complete timecard management and annual performance reviews.
• Manage provider schedules, template optimization, and patient access.
• Monitor operational, financial, quality, and patient experience metrics.
• Support physicians and APPs to ensure efficient clinical operations.
• Implement systemwide initiatives, policies, and workflows.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT, Revenue Cycle, and Population Health.
• Drive improvements in access, quality, patient safety, and employee engagement.
• Maintain regulatory and accreditation readiness.
