Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Multiskilled Technician for the Cambridge area to support operation and maintenance of natural gas facilities. The role requires knowledge of high-pressure pipelines, gas measurement, compression, and cathodic protection, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

The successful candidate must reside within 30 miles or 45 minutes of the reporting location to meet emergency response requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Electrical, instrumentation, and controls experience in a related industry.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related software.
Master Electrician License or equivalent (i.e. mining electrical certification).
Industry certification such as ISA desired.
Ability to interpret technical reference documents and P&ID drawings.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, troubleshoot, test, repair, operate, and maintain power, process controls, PLCs, electric generation equipment, and related systems.
Maintain PLCs, control valves, transmitters, regulators, and gas quality devices.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain instrumentation and wiring with tools.
Perform diagnostic tests, calibrations, and replacements of equipment and instrumentation.
Plan and coordinate maintenance and capital projects including hot work and gas handling.
