Job summary

Villas on the Strand in Galveston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our community. You will interact directly with residents with a customer-centric mindset and perform diverse repairs on electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and appliances.

The role requires at least two years in resident maintenance and an HVAC certification is preferred; a valid driver’s license is required and on-call rotation may be needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in resident maintenance and HVAC certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents and team members.
• Valid driver’s license and dependability in duties.
• Willingness to participate in emergency on-call rotations as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical, carpentry, plumbing, appliance repair, painting and other apartment repairs.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor with work orders, unit turns and preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to the dress code and wear required protective equipment.
• Complete work orders electronically and manually as needed.
• Maintain maintenance shop inventories for parts, tools, and supplies.
