Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Mechanic/Operator to support safe operation and maintenance of natural gas facilities in the Gaylord area. The role requires experience in mechanical and electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls, with the ability to troubleshoot and contribute to asset reliability.

Candidates should reside within 30 miles or 45 minutes of the reporting location to meet emergency response requirements. Placement may vary by skill level within the technician ladder.

Qualifications

• Versatile, hands-on candidate with mechanical and/or electrical, instrumentation and controls (EIC) experience.
• Capable of troubleshooting complex issues and contributing to asset reliability.
• Willingness to operate within a multi-skilled technician career ladder.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain power and process control systems.
• Perform routine and major mechanical maintenance on units and associated equipment.
• Maintain PLC, valves, transmitters, sensors, and related electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret diagrams, P&IDs, and drawings to install and troubleshoot equipment.
• Plan and lead pipeline isolation and gas handling activities, and monitor safety compliance.
