Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a versatile Mechanic/Operator to support safe operation and maintenance of natural gas facilities in Michigan. The role requires hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience, troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work independently with emergency readiness.

Candidates may be placed at the appropriate skill level within the technician ladder. Responsibilities include maintaining PLCs, gas compressors, fuel systems, and control equipment while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical, instrumentation, and controls experience in a related industry.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and P&IDs.
• Preference for Master Electrician or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, test, repair, operate, and maintain power, controls, PLCs, and electrical equipment.
• Maintain gas compressors, engines, turbines, and related systems.
• Read diagrams, schematics, and manuals to install and trouble shoot equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and monitor safety and regulatory compliance.
